Jason Lee

Mr. Lee is the managing partner of Element, an investment firm focused on products, services and technologies for the energy and built environment sectors. Prior to Element, he was managing director and co-portfolio manager in Oaktree’s energy private equity group and led investments in the energy efficiency, engineering & construction, software and renewables industries and was also responsible for the overall management of the Power Opportunities investment strategy and operations of the group. Mr. Lee served on several boards including Array Technologies, Shoals Technologies, NAPEC, OpTerra Energy, and SitelogIQ, among others. Prior to Oaktree, Mr. Lee worked for a number of years as an executive in the operational management of several companies, some of which he co-founded, and has advised a number of companies and government organizations in the areas of entrepreneurial strategy, investments, and finance. He began his career at J.P. Morgan’s technology, media, and telecom investment banking practice. Mr. Lee also serves on the faculty of the UCLA Anderson School of Management where teaches courses in finance, private equity and impact investing.
