Litchfield Community Power is the town’s electricity supply program, designed to help residents manage electricity costs and increase renewable energy use. Approval and launch details will be posted here once Litchfield’s Community Power plan is finalized.

Electricity Options In Litchfield

Litchfield is preparing to bid for an electricity supplier alongside its Community Power partners.

How the Process Works

Details on rate options and enrollment will be shared once the program is finalized.

Once enrolled, your bill will show two parts: Supply and Delivery.

Supply Services

Litchfield will select an electricity supplier to source power for the community

Delivery Services

Your utility will continue delivering electricity exactly as it does today

Your Bill

No change in service quality. Only the price in “Supplier” section of your bill changes.

Your Utility Electricity Bill in Litchfield

If you participate, your electrical bill will be impacted as follows:

A new Supplier line will appear on your bill to reflect your participation.
Your utility will continue to provide all Delivery Services, including responding to power outages, and will continue to send you your electricity bill.
Customers that receive a discount on their electricity bill through the Electric Assistance Program (EAP) will continue to receive their benefits.
Budget billing customers will continue to receive budget billing for the Delivery Services portion of the bill.
You’ll be able to leave the Program, or switch options, at any time, without penalty.
